Two discoveries to report, one food-related, the other music-related.
On Thursday last week M and I had dinner at this little place in the West end called “Mitzi’s Café.” M had some smoked chicken salad thing, but I had the most kick-ass sandwich I’ve ever had. Here’s what was on it: mango, avacado, beefsteak tomato, lettuce, brie and some sort of light mayo spread. It was unbelievable. Mmmmm. Came with a salad with a home-made dressing. Altogether a very enjoyable meal.
In terms of music, I saw a video just after Sex and the City on Bravo! one night of a song by Norah Jones. It was called “Don’t Know Why,” and since then I had been watching out for anything else from her. When I was at home in Oshawa this weekend I noticed that Heather had her cd, so I copied it and I have been listening to nothing else since. It’s really wonderful. Very mellow blues-y folk stuff. Highly recommended.
