Labour is Spelled with a “U”

I had a very relaxing long weekend. It started Thursday night when the usual gang from work came over for a barbeque/party. Same group of people as before, but added N and another girl who started at the company recently. Quite frankly I was impressed she wasn’t scared away. I think she caught us at our rowdiest yet.

Highlights:

Doing dishes as the evening progresses prevents a two-hour dish session the next day. It also decreases drunkeness.
Tequila will help you catch up.
Truth or Dare is a fun game to play as adults (more fun than as kids).

Went for brunch on Friday and then totally flopped out for the rest of the day.

Saturday S came over and took a roll and a half of film of me for the painting she’s going to do of me. I was wearing a sports bra and shorts.

Sunday was crazy cleaning day. I even washed the kitchen floor. When Scott and Renee were on their way out around 6 that night, they noticed that the big maple tree out front had a huge crack in the trunk and they could hear it cracking when the wind blew. So Scott phoned the city and they came and cut down all of the branches to get the weight off of it so it wouldn’t fall on the house next door. They were at the house with the cherry-picker and chainsaws until after eleven p.m. and left the entire lawn piled with brush. This morning on my way out the door they were arriving to cut down the trunk and take away the branches. My flowers got smushed. :(

Monday I did absolutely nothing except watch television. The Object of My Affection was on in the evening, as was Queer as Folk. Got totally organized for work, made my lunch, etc. and then left it in the fridge this morning. What a dope.

saxman is home from the Millenium now. He is playing hockey with S tomorrow so hopefully some plan will be made this week.
