Today is a snow day. We’re expected to get 15-25 cm of snow by tomorrow morning. We’ve had to shovel. Luckily my neighbour did it this morning. Already it’s starting to get covered up again, though. Today is the Santa Claus Parade in Toronto, so luckily the kiddies will have some snow to bring Santa to town. Incidentally, yesterday before all of this snow got started, the city truck came by to pick up the compostable waste (leaves etc.) and one of the bags was apparently too heavy for the big strong garbage collector man, because he just gave it a dismissive wave, and continued on the route, leaving a quarter of my compostable waste on my curb. Isn’t that ridiculous? If a woman my size could get that bag to the curb, surely the guy working the pickup could lift it 6 feet away into the truck. If I hadn’t been wearing my pajamas I’d have been out there on the sidewalk scolding the guy. Tisk.
