First Heat Wave of the Summer

It started Monday. The first “heat emergency” in Toronto happened this week. Cooling centres opened, and the city issued a heat/haze/humidity alert. I dealt with it today by heading to my parents’ home in Oshawa and taking a dip. We have a/c in our apartment, but I thought it was a good excuse to head for the pool. Check out Toronto’s weather forecast. It’s going to be much more seasonable for the next few days, but at ten o’clock p.m. the temperature is still 36°C with the humidex.
