Essentials

I’m trying to apply for student loans but due to the blackout, Premier Ernie Eves has asked all non-essential government workers to stay home so far this week. Bummer! I call financial aid essential. I know, I know, looking at the big picture, it’s not, but it is really frustrating that I can’t use any of the Ministry’s services to get this done. The only thing I have running in the house today is a fan and the computer, which I’ll probably shut down soon. Oh, and the fridge, but I think we’d all call that essential.
