Nursing Week One

I have officially attended all of my classes: Nursing Practice, Anatomy & Physiology, Psychology, Nutrition, Nursing Assessment, Philosophy (Ethics) and Nursing Theory. I am hoping to get transfer credit from my previous degree for the Philosophy course. There was a lot to do this first week…get photo ID taken, purchase parking permit, pay tuition, check out the bookstore, find the cafeteria, rent a locker, etc. etc…not to mention attend classes. I haven’t been able to buy my books yet due to a lack of funds, but the nicest program coordinator ever offered to loan me some books for a few days until the OSAP arrives. I should have my loan money by the end of the month. As for the classes, I think I will really enjoy them. There will be times when I won’t, I’m sure, but for now I feel genuinely interested in what is being presented. Lots of reading to do. I’m off to relax for an hour or so and then I’ll be hitting those books. I guess I should get used to this!
