Freak Accident

There was a train derailment quite close to my parents’ home in Whitby last night. Six boxcars derailed and went off the overpass, crashing to the busy four-lane road below. The silver lining is that due to a bad snowstorm, fewer people were out driving than usual. Two women were tragically killed, however. The star on the map above represents our house. The accident was at the corner Garden and Dundas Sts.
