Autumn This Way Comes

I saw my first autumn colours this morning on my drive to work up the Don Valley Parkway (commonly referred to as the DVP or Don Valley Parking Lot around here). The weather has been distinctly autumn-like in the mornings and evenings lately. It’s lovely, actually. Summer weather has been disappointing this year so now I just want fall to come so I can plant icicle pansies and have mums and pumpkins on the porch. You might expect me to feel more refreshed by spring, but I love fall. Clean things up outside, pack things away, cozy in for the winter. It’s a clean slate.
