Test Drive

Today was a fairy busy, but fun Saturday. Graham and I went to Home Depot early in the afternoon. We bought a second fluorescent light fixture for my seedling setup in the basement, then went on to Staples Business Depot to pick up some printer paper. However, we were sidetracked on the way there by the Kia Dealership. We went in to look at the Sportage on the sales floor and took one out for a test drive. We both drove it, although Graham was much more thorough in actually testing certain features, i.e. brakes, traction, brakes, brakes. I just enjoyed the fact that it had power steering (my 1995 Hyundai Accent doesn’t have power steering, or power anything, for that matter). The salesman priced it out for us, but even financing over 5 years results in a monthly payment of about $575. So maybe in the fall when the 2006 models come out, there will be a demo 2005 Kia Sportage with our name on it somewhere.

Later we went to the Waltzing Weasel for a bite and a pint. We had to take Foster back over to Elaine & Jamie’s, and spent a bit of time at their place. Elaine and Jamie have bought a new house, so they were showing us the digital photos of their place. It’s not brand new, in fact the house is about 140 years old. They’re excited about moving out to the country. We came home from their place with an old aquarium and four goldfish. I’ve never had an aquarium before, so I’m enjoying it. Phoebe didn’t seem particularly interested, though.

Amy you have so much new stuff going on in your life – and now a new aquarium! Good luck! It’s fun! There’s an awesome fish store in Scarborough – you and Graham should go – it’s like taking a day shift!
