Blooms and Bowling

Weekends usually go quickly, but this one went way too fast! It was fun, though. And tiring.

On Saturday I took the GO train downtown (wow, I’m really a suburbanite again) to Canada Blooms. I met up with Gayla from You Grow Girl and Sarah, a fellow forum poster, and Gayla and I ended up staying from 4 until 9. We both got some good deals on a few new plants. It was fun to spend time with her because I had only met her in person once before (last summer at the Toronto Herb Fair), although we have exchanged multiple e-mails and of course communicate on the You Grow Girl Forums on a regular basis. I had never met Sarah before, but she seemed very friendly and fun and intelligent, too.

Yesterday Graham and I took Saffron and Rielly bowling at North End Bowl (now known as “Neb’s”) and then to Pizza Hut for supper. I hadn’t been bowling in probably 8 years or so, and I’m not very good at it, but we had fun with the girls. Graham had them giving him high fives after every turn. It was cute to see Rielly jump up and down, watching the ball roll slowly toward the pins. It’s a good thing that the floor is tilted! They couldn’t roll it very hard, but did a pretty good job anyway. Saffron and I tied, actually.
