How is it possible that it’s only 1:22 pm?
Up at 8:30 this morning, I went right over to the typesetter in Whitby (they do a daily courier run to the publishing company in Scarborough, which saves me a ton of gas). When I got back I finished up this month’s release of a tax newsletter I edit, and with that, I was done work for the day.
I told Graham I’d have a slow day and he suggested I go to Home Depot to look for a light fixture for the downstairs bathroom, but I just don’t feel like doing that today. It’s way back to Whitby or Oshawa to go there. He wants to install it on Friday evening, so there’s lots of time to pick one up. He brought home a nice mirror for that bathroom yesterday. It’s almost finished.
I puttered around in the garden awhile, yanking things out that were on the verge of death, and watered all of the plants. Man, am I going to have a lot of tomatoes!
Now Mom wants me to help her pick her 3 cats up in Cobourg to bring to her new apartment in Oshawa, but there are only 2 cat carriers and my car doesn’t have air conditioning, so the windows have to be down on the highway. I keep telling her I wish she would just bring them back to her new place one at a time, but she is determined to get them all home today. The only problem is, she refuses to move Dotty because she thinks Dotty will be all freaked out and cry the whole way, which will just be too stressful for her (both the cat and the mom). Which she probably will, but it would be best just to get it over with. I guess we’ll see what happens.
I think I’ll go do some reading, maybe doze for a bit.

nothing beats a wee read and a nap. What are you reading right now? i am reading Shields Stone Diaries for the first time
I just finished a rather disturbing book called “Judas” (author’s name escapes me at the moment) which begins with the narrator awakening in a bathtub, having just survived a kidney-napping.
