I went over to Vicki’s yesterday afternoon. I brought with me the few pieces of pretty paper and ideas for invitations I had. She has all kinds of stamps and glitter and card stock and embossing stuff to play with. I made a mock-up invitation (without wording) and feel now that we could make some very pretty, unique invitations right at home. DIY! Today I went to DaFont and downloaded some nice fonts to choose from for the invitation wording.
Today I stopped in at Michael’s to look at their stamps again, and I saw that they had these little wooden birdhouses on sale ($2 off). I bought 15 of them. Mom will paint them up as part of the centrepieces for the reception. I also got a lovely little stamp that is the letter “U” and a pretty mossy green inkpad. It’s just what I had in mind!
