I understand now why Graham gets so excited about the Canadian Tire flyer every week. I understand because I get equally–if not more–excited about getting the Michael’s flyer every week (this week there were two!). It features a coupon for 40% off any regular priced item. But they also have good regular sales on other stuff. I got two pretty beaded Christmas wreathes that don’t look at all Christmasy. They’re the lovely shade of green I’ve chosen as the wedding accent colour. Not sure where they’ll go yet, but I’ll figure it out!
Then today I went to Dollarama because Heather saw they had little flower pots 3/$1. I bought all 30 they had in stock (I guess I’ll have to hit two other Dollarama stores) as well as these awesome galvanized steel flower vases for the centrepieces.
Now, as I look at the pile of wedding decor stuff I’m accumulating, a definite look/feel is emerging. Hooray! It’s getting easier to picture the reception each day.
We also booked our photographer, and I’m very much excited to have him photograph the wedding. As part of his package we get every digital photo he takes that day (no limit) as well as a slide show he’ll put together for us. He’ll stay as long as we want him to.
Our officiant is booked now, too. All the big things are done! Next up is bridesmaid dress shopping this Thursday. I’m very glad I’m this organized so far. My Aunt Jean said last week that I was too calm to be a bride, but that she was convinced it was because I’m “older”. Either way, the odds of mad craziness at the last minute are diminishing as more things are accomplished well ahead of time. It’s going to be so much fun!
