A lot happened in 2005, but now I am looking ahead into 2006 with a lot of happy anticipation.
Some highlights of 2005:
I moved in with Graham in Bowmanville in January.
I lost my cat Phoebe over Easter weekend when she was attacked by a dog.
I joined the Hospital for Sick Children’s “Miracle Club”, donating $15 per month to the cause.
I began working from home in May.
We brought our new kitty Farley into our home in June.
We went on a road trip to Michigan in June to visit Graham’s friend Kamo and his wife Chandra and their son Gabe.
We went on a little road trip along the wine route to Niagara-on-the-Lake.
I became an honourary aunt when my best friend Vicki had her first baby, Sabrina, in July.
One of my online gardening pals, Sakura, was killed in a car accident in August.
I became closer friends with Sarah and Gayla, both of whom I’d met originally online at You Grow Girl.
We lost our cat Toby after several years of medication and TLC.
Friends Jude and Emma visited us. They live in BC.
We put our boat in the water at Rice Lake and committed to dock space there for next summer.
Graham proposed to me in September. I said yes. Most of our wedding plans were concrete by year’s end. Two engagement parties were held for us.
We hosted a Thanksgiving crowd of about 14 of our family members.
We renovated our kitchen.
Things to look forward to in 2006:
My Gramma’s wedding.
Our wedding.
A honeymoon?!
More gardening.
Consolidation of our debt.
Seeing Sabrina grow.
Working on getting the rec room finished.
Farewell 2005! You’ve been pretty good to us.
