Getting in the Christmas Mood

Things have been so extremely hectic since I started working at the GMC…I haven’t had much time for things like writing in my blog.  I thought I’d take a couple of moments before I hop in the shower before work today to say hello.

Graham and I spent yesterday together, mostly out in the yard.  We finally got the garden “put away” for the winter and also put up the Christmas lights.  It was beautiful and mild out yesterday, near 12 degrees.  Not bad for late November.  Graham took the driveway sealing trailer over to Andy & Kelly’s house, so while he was gone I put up a few Christmas decorations in the house, listening to Diana Krall’s Christmas CD.

Went last night to the Superstore and bought a couple of end tables for the living room and managed to get a few Christmas presents, too.  So the Christmas season seems to have officially begun, even though it’s not quite December yet.

Today we have a Generals game at the arena, and tomorrow is the CHL Canada vs. Russia game.  There are a lot of caterings taking place all over the building today and tomorrow so it’s going to be very busy and very hectic.  Then we get a couple of days to regroup before the Toronto Rock game Friday, then back-to-back Gens Saturday and Sunday.  Work comes in spurts.  Graham and I will try to find a day to take together to go on a Christmas shopping day trip, maybe to Vaughan Mills.  He’s got a gift certificate for Bass Pro Shop and we have some Lee Valley gift certificates too.  Not that it’s all about us…the point is to find gifts for others!
