The forecast today called for up to 15 cm of snow to fall…instead when I woke up this morning, I could have sworn I heard rain. I went down the hall into the office and couldn’t see out the window, it was so thick with ice. There is the unmistakeable sound of freezing rain pelting the glass, but it’s cozy inside the house in the early morning winter light, and the coffee smell is cheering the place up.
I hope Dad got to work okay this morning, or else decided to work at home today.
I actually took a sick day last night – thankfully, because I would have had to drive in this stuff!! Steve and I were supposed to go to Brampton this morning, but we are definitely not anymore!
