Family Reunion

Last night Mom and I got together with her cousin (my second cousin, and loyal reader of this blog), Nancy, on her birthday.  We call her “Nance”.  It had been about fifteen years since we had all been together in the same room.  The last time was at her wedding in Kingston.

Here she is as a beautiful bride, the last time I saw her (isn’t this fun, Nance?):

Here’s how Mom and I looked that day (nice coif, Mom):

Nancy used to babysit Matt & I until I was about 12 or so, I guess.  At the time, she seemed a lot older than I was.  Now we are both in our 30′s, and our age difference doesn’t seem too great at all.  It was great to spend time with Mom and Nancy and I look forward to getting together again, soon.  I feel lucky to have rediscovered a friend who is also already a member of the family!
