Dear Grouchy Lady in line at the A & P,
It’s not the cashier’s job to take your grocery items out of the basket and put them on the conveyer belt, and you know it. Everyone knows that the customer does that all by herself. The cashier politely asked you to take your things out of the basket, “hon”, and you were so annoyed by this that you decided to make a stink about the fact that another A & P employee was ahead of you in the line trying to buy herself a little something to eat on her lunch break.
You made sure you told the cashier that the customer should come first, and you sure didn’t feel like you did today. I bet you go all over the place just waiting for an opportunity to belittle minimum wage employees who don’t kiss your ass. Get OVER yourself.
