This upcoming trip to Chicago is turning out to be an excellent reason to justify a purchase.
New prescription sunglasses? Check!
Wedding band cleaned? Check!
New shoes? Double check!
Granted, I’ll be getting reimbursed for all but $44 of the sunglasses. And it really wouldn’t be safe to drive an eight-hour road trip without proper eye protection. And the wedding band cleaning thing was already paid for with the extended service agreement we bought when we got the rings. But with the shoes, well, there was a sale! A fifty per cent off sale! And combined, they were only about $44. I couldn’t choose between these two pair. Could you? I mean, really, it would have been like Sophie’s Choice.

2) diamond necklace
3) bodyguard
4) six changes of shoes
5) 18 shades of lipstick

What didn’t I buy? I need an intervention. Today I bought a new bag, because my old bag is too “heavy”. Seriously, I need help. I am probably bringing 6 pairs of shoes and almost 18 lipsticks.
