Some things really don’t change all that much…

I’ve been scanning old photos. This has been more than a trip down memory lane for me. It almost feels like I’m mourning my childhood, if that makes any sense at all. It’s been a long time since I felt like a kid.

I posted this in my Flickr account last week, but if you missed, it, I thought you might enjoy seeing how very little I’ve actually changed since, oh, 1980.

Amy Then & Now

Kyran from Notes to Self started a funny new Flickr group pool called “Not Ready for Prime Time: Before we were Bloggers.” Go ahead and join us. There are only 8 members so far, but something tells me this thing is going to catch on. It seems the aim is to reveal your most embarrassing moments captured in your school days for mocking purposes posterity. Thanks for setting it up, Kyran.

I’ve also been trying to figure out what I’m going to write about for NaBloPoMo. There are 30 days in November, and I’m 30. That seems like a decent enough coincidence to capitalize on, doesn’t it? Would an Assertagirl Retrospective be totally boring? Or would y’all enjoy seeing more photos like the one above? I have lots of embarrassing tidbits to scan and share, more than just photographs. If there are no major objections, that’s the plan so far. I’ll write about each year on each day and at the end of November you’ll know more about me than you probably should. Deal?

That is too cute. I’d love to see more photos for NaBloPoMo.

I can often feel myself making the expression I had in my first grade school photo.

The whole NaPoBloMoMo thing confuses Bossy a bit. After all, isn’t the blogging everyday thing what she’s been for the last two years, give or take a handful of saturdays? OK, every saturday. And those pesky sundays. And, well, you get the idea.

    Sounds like a fun idea

Our flickr pool is growing by the hour! So far, we are only laughing near people, not at them.

It’s great to see all the familiar faces at different ages & stages, including yours. :)

    xo
