Jingle all the way.

Good morning. Did you know I’ve been writing my posts in the morning these days? I get up, feed Farley, put on some coffee, and while I listen to that sweet caffeinated nectar drip into the pot, I start a new post.

Yesterday was a close call…yesterday I didn’t know if my post would be well-received or not. Turns out you folks are easily entertained! I kid. I should have mentioned, though, that I did NOT sit and make up that word search by hand. If you Google “word search generator” there are a ton of websites that allow you to plug in your words and then will create the puzzle for you. So yes, it would appear, as Fenicle pointed out, that I have too much time on my hands. In reality, it took about 5 minutes to put together, do a screen capture and upload the image to Flickr.

Today is Graham’s birthday. It’s been just over three years, now, since we met. On our first date those three years ago, he invited me to a birthday/housewarming party here at “his” house. I turned him down because I thought it was too soon…although we had communicated online for a month, we had only had one date and I wasn’t ready to meet all of his friends, yet. Now here we are, three years later, more in love than ever, making plans for our future together. Happy Birthday, Graham. You’re my favourite.

Last night I took Farley’s collar off him and gave him a good scritch all around his neck, which he loved. His eyes went all crossed and he purred like a motor boat. Now he looks naked and has the ability to sneak up on me without his bell jingling all the way. I should say, he would have that ability if he stopped chirping and mewling at any point during the day.

Gulp. Ahhh, yes, sweet Hazelnut Coffeemate, my life would be incomplete without you.

Speaking of jingling all the way, it appears that the Christmas spirit is in full force already. In the shops, on tv, in my newspaper flyers. I hate to admit it, but I’m kind of being drawn into it all. Already. The other night, I bought some gift wrap at the bad store, and then last night I started to wrap up a few little things I’ve picked up so far. Stocking stuffer-type gifts. It was fun. Relaxing. Is that wrong? I’m going to start writing out cards soon, too (Costco has beautiful, glittery boxed cards at $16.99 for 40).

While I won’t be putting up any decorations or playing Bing Crosby until much later in the month, I’m starting to get that Christmasy feeling. The last couple of months were so sucky that I think I’m just looking forward to this season of giving, of peace on earth. Looking forward to trading cookies with friends and having a glass of wine with my gal pals. To throwing caution to the wind and editing that manuscript, a shot of Bailey’s in my coffee. (Anne, you didn’t read that.) Of a glowing tree in the corner, a handsome man across the room from me, soft music playing, and a feeling of love and contentment in my heart. I need that moment. I’m waiting for it with bated breath.

What’s even better is ME drinking MY coffee, while reading YOUR blog.

Gosh. I had assumed you spent hours and hours on that word search. I was very impressed.

Yesterday at the Scarborough Town Centre I was approaching Santa’s Castle and I thought’ wow that’s up early’. Then as I took the escalator down right beside it I looked over and saw elf body parts, legs and arms everywhere. Then I realized they were in the midst of setting it up.
And I was reading anything here, thought I prefer my Bailey’s in hot chocolate ;)

Is it me, or is that cat’s tail coming out of an odd area of its body? I keep staring, and yet … it doesn’t make sense.

Hopefully I’m wrong, or you’ll probably just see that every time you look at it. And curse my name.

Can’t wait for Xmas, I am getting excited to start decorating:)

Can I just say that I love you like chocolate ganache for not having “baited” breath? THANK YOU.
