The weather outside was frightful.

This was the view from our dining room window yesterday afternoon.

So, um YEAH! It snowed in DECEMBER for a change. A lot. I have been in complete denial about winter. I’m all, “The snow won’t stay. It’ll warm up.” You know what? I don’t think it’s going to happen for a few months. I have to pull my gardener’s head out of the sand because I still have stuff outside in the yard that has to go into the shed that you see in the photo, the one that Graham built oh, about five minutes before the snow started this year. I’m thinking that there are still a few tomato plants in the ground that are just going to be staying right where they’re at all winter long, sad and dead and frozen, and not contributing any of their goodness to the soil. Note also, the hummingbird feeder dangling from the frame of our fabulous gazebo. This does not mean I suffer from any delusions that hummingbirds may still visit. It just means I’m lazy. Or busy. Yeah, I’ll go with busy.

Oh, well. At least the snow is pretty.

See, it totally nearly flooded over here, but I still will take rafting to work over The White Stuff. It’s pretty when it’s not out MY window, though. : )
