Rockin’ the resolutions.

People are already hooking up for BlogHer ’08! Rumour has it the hotel only has rooms available that have one double bed. ONE. You know what this means, don’t you? wink wink…Spooning is optional. (Seriously, though, I really hope to find a roomie again this year because $199/night really doesn’t fit this chick’s budget. I’m a great roommate, too! Very considerate, and will arrive toting Caesars in a can. We can sleep head to toe.)

I’m rocking my resolutions so far…no fast food, but really, big deal, it’s only been a couple of days, right? The real test will come when I’m out doing errands, realize I’ve forgotten to eat and have the shakes. Then we’ll see if I can pass up a Quarter Pounder. Drool.

Graham and I are planning to go to the gym when he gets home from work.

The bank guy just called to make an appointment for us to make our debt consolidation happen officially. I’m such a grown-up.

Also, I bought vitamins today. On sale! With a bonus Redoxen! And I’m going to therapy tomorrow! Woo.

I’m slowly but surely getting caught up with my writing obligations. I hesitate to use the word “obligation” because that might lead you to believe that I feel like the writing is an unpleasant task, which it most certainly is not. And I won’t bore you with the details of how “writing is a skill I want to develop, blah blah blah.” It’s just that I’m kind of a serious gal sometimes and I tend to take my responsibilities seriously and if I can’t do something right, then I just won’t do it at all. Or I’ve just been lazy. You decide.

As resident Canadian over at Moms Speak Up, I have a post up there today, in which I talk about manufacturing standards when it comes to homeopathic medicines, including a current product recall. Check me out.

Also, Her Bad Mother is going to be writing up a storm over at BlogHer as the resident writer on Maternal Health. In true HBM form, she’s pimpin’ BlogHers ACT Canada today. Go on over and read her.

    Hi All,

Just wanted to chime in that the bed situation at the Westin has been fixed. (It was a glitch in their online reservation system and not some nefarious, spooning-required planning on BlogHer’s part.)

Thanks for bringing it up! (Hope it was okay to link to you as well: http://www.blogher.com/blogher-08-hotel-room-update.)

I can’t believe we’re discussing BlogHer already. It seriously feels like July was just last week. I mean that is if it snows in July or something.

I’m totally going, because it’s part of my sabbatical research project. Of course. Very serious stuff. Doesn’t mean I have any real money to travel with though … Wanna room? Please?

The only reason I get to attend BlogHer this year is because it’s happening where I live. Otherwise I would be a) camping, or b) moaning. About not being there.

    Collective money woes aside, hooray!
