Rudy’s a velcro cat.

This grown-up mortgage and lawyer business is a little scary. The last couple of days I’ve been busy digging through our files and faxing copies of home insurance policies, evidence of payment of property taxes, statements, and the promissory note to hand over our first-born child to the lawyer we’re dealing with. Oh, and SURPRISE! I have an old cell phone account that’s gone into collections (long story), and the bank didn’t even notice this until yesterday. Neat-o. I’ll be so glad when this is all arranged and signed and new payment amounts are safely coming out of the account. I’m tired of thinking about it. Although, all of this faxing and talking on the phone is being done with a kitten in my lap, which I have to admit, does help.

Have I mentioned how sucky our kitten is? He’s a velcro cat. He is nearly always stuck to some part of my body, whether it’s my shoulder, lap or foot. He’s very cuddly. His feet look like little cotton balls. And now he’s sporting a fancy new scratch on his nose, courtesy of his big brother Farley.
