Not a pretty scene.

Today I was just about to leave the house, had put makeup on, even, nothing crazy, just a little blush and eyeliner/mascara combo. I was heading out to meet my friend Kolleen and the twinks for a little gabfest and coffee while the kids played at Kid Zone, when I realized there were no keys hanging on the hook at the front door. NO KEYS. Amy needs her keys.

I had a little tantrum right here, all alone in the house, complete with stomping and swearing and slamming of doors and called Graham, who went to hunt down his coat on the job site to confirm that yes, my car keys were still in his jacket pocket since we used them to drive to Home Depot and Loblaws yesterday and that he was sorry.

I was a total cow on the phone to Graham, but I was still in the middle of my intense two-for-the-price-of-one anger/frustration package.  It wasn’t really his fault, and in the grand scheme of things not that huge a deal, but I was really looking forward to seeing Koll and I felt like some sort of caged animal.  I will now make it my mission in life to know the whereabouts of my car keys at all times.  There must always be a way out!  Always!

In other news, I got a little promotion over at Suite101, so I am now the Feature Writer for Vegetable Gardens. Basically, this means I get a little green star next to my name on the site. If vegetable gardening is your thing, feel free to stop by.
