Today Graham and I spent some time hanging art in our living room and moving some furniture around. Farley and Rudy hopped up on top of the piano, above which we were hanging my favourite print of two cats. “That picture is SO AMY,” my Dad said just the other day. It has books, plants and cats in it, three things I love. My step-mom bought me the print for Christmas a few years ago because the cats in the print look exactly like two cats I used to have, Toby and Phoebe. In fact, there’s an almost eerie photo of Phoebe sitting in front of this print here.
Today as Rudy and Far sat in front of this portrait I thought about how my life has changed, and how there are new cats in town, now. I miss my old buddies but the new generation of kitties is pretty great, too.
