30 Tiny Moments, Day 6

Ah, Canadian winter. What a tease you have been this year. Blizzard, melt, blizzard, melt, and so on and so forth. And there was much shoveling.

I took this photo tonight as I got out of the car at the first staff meeting of the restaurant gig I’m starting. It snowed, oh, a good 15 cm, while we were in the restaurant for about three hours. I wish I knew how to photograph falling snow correctly, but this shot is stil sort of pretty, I think. If you look closely near the lamps you can see how much snow was falling.

I am also now the proud owner of a server uniform that DOESN’T SUCK. Except for the nametag, which is pretty much a given in the hospitality industry. Someone needs to invent some sort of super amazing fiber optic server nametag. That would be cool.

    Oh yeesh, Amy, do you think I want to look at more snow now when it took me 30 minutes to drive the 4 km to my house tonight? ARRRRGGHHHH.

    (It’s a pretty picture, though. Ok. I forgive you ;-> )

    Apparently, if you’re a man with a snowblower, it doesn’t matter how much snow falls, it’s just fun to blow it all away.
