I spent a fun Saturday night hanging out with all kinds of Toronto bloggers, many of whom I met for the first time, and some of whom I’ve met several times before.
One blogger in particular was missed, however, and we expressed our undying love for her on camera throughout the evening.
Of course, we made sure she had her fair share of cocktails that night.
As we sat in the dimly lit Comrade bar on Queen Street, a dozen or so local bloggers enjoying their wine and imported, organic, Belgian, raspberry-infused beers, I turned to Sandra and said, “I’m charged with the responsibility of driving Her Bad Mother and Her Bad Mother’s unborn child tonight. I’m not taking any chances!” before drinking my virgin bloody caesar.
In spite of all of my careful driving, I still managed to win the unofficial Dork of the Night award, having locked my keys in the truck. In a public parking lot in Toronto. Across from a strip joint. In 40-below weather. Let me just say that CAA is TOTALLY WORTH IT and Catherine is a sport and a half, even though she may have compared our having to wait for CAA to the movie “Alive.”
