Wow, that was great! Thank you so much to those of you who have answered my little questionnaire. Very interesting… I was pleased especially to be brought into contact with so many new faces in among some of my regular readers:
Kathy P, of Available Light
Julie, of Metro Mama
Ali, of Cheaper Than Therapy
Aimee, of Mimi on the Breach
Kyla, of The Journey
Emily, of Fenicle
Amanda, of The Wink
Amy Davis, of The Lovely Mrs. Davis Tells You What to Think
Liv, of madness, madness I say!
Loralee, of Loralee’s Looney Tunes
Tracy, of Green Eyed Mama
Sarah, of Sarah and the Goon Squad
So again, many, many thanks for humoring me and participating.
In other news, we are “this close” to having the kitchen floor re-tiling project done. The majority of the tiles are down, and the grout needs to be done, but other than that, we are in good shape! I love love love that Graham can do these kinds of things and we don’t have to hire some stranger to come into our house. I’m sure Farley and Rudy would prefer this quicker method, however, since they’re ruthlessly sequestered in the basement while the work is being done. I know, guys, life is really hard for you, what with that gas fireplace to stretch out in front of, and those bowls of food and water and that box in which to do your duty. Suck it up, kitties.
We picked up our new! car! on Thursday night, and oh my gosh were we ever glad to be rid of the Jetta from Hell. We literally high-fived as we drove the new car out of the lot.
I’ve been all tired and blah and unlikely to be able to concentrate much lately, and I don’t know if I had a wee bug or been fighting off some sort of bizarre seasonal depression or what, but today was better, energy-wise. And before you start getting all, “Is she pregnant?” on me, the answer would be no. Still poppin’ those little orange pills. (Which, WHY? Why orange? The brand name pills were so cute and pink and now the generic ones are all orange and looking sort of like tic tacs but without the tangy goodness.)
Hope everybody stuffed their faces with chocolate this weekend. I know I did.
Congrats on the new car!
And, dude – you are SO motivating me to almost dig into some much needed home improvement projects. Almost

My husband is, as they say ’round these parts, handy. I never realized how lucky I was until we were at the house of a couple we know. When it became clear that the house was unseasonably cool Sean went to the basement with the guy and asked him to show him where the furnace was, his friend, bless his heart, pointed to the water heater.
Good luck on the grouting, we’ll be doing the backsplash in our kitchen soon…I am a grout virgin.

Thanks for the linky love, toots. I’m sorry about your generic looking tic-tac pills, but glad that you have a new vehicle.

I have to thank you too for the linky love. I read what Mimi said and I was just wondering if that was true. Didn’t we pretty much give you information knowing that it would be used for your paper and give you permission to use it by leaving a comment? I can’t wait to see it. Promise that you’ll do a post on it, please. There are so many things that I need to learn about blogging. Hope you had a Happy Easter and I love the new green header! Very nice!
