Where the heck did the month of March go?

Holy Hannah, tomorrow it’s April! Yipee. Here’s a brief glimpse of what’s happening this month:

  • Finish up the kitchen upgrades
  • Meet with YWCA/Children’s Garden program for the local community ecology garden
  • Meet with insurance person to make official statement regarding restaurant fire—incidentally, the restaurant is going to be torn down completely this week. So sad…but I guess starting from scratch is the cheapest and fastest way to get the place rebuilt. We’re expecting to re-open mid-August.
  • Graham’s summer business gets under way
  • Attend COG Durham branch steering committee meeting
  • Psychology final exam toward mid-month (speaking of which, I’d better get reading!)
  • Redneck Mommy visiting Toronto…can’t miss it!
  • April’s focus at BlogHers ACT Canada is Teaching our kids to go green
  • Monthly COG meeting (topic is vertical gardening, and it’s my turn to bring the snack)
  • Start working at perennial farm

So far, that’s what is on the table.

What do you have planned for April?

Wow! That’s an action packed month, Amy. Um, we’re purging belongings in April (then packing and moving in May). I think that will keep us plenty busy … but not as busy as you, for sure.

Way more than I’m sure I’ll finish but I gotta try:
    Build compost bins
    Move firepit to legal/useable space
Start seeds indoors (I’m so excited for the mail!! You rock!)
Get outside with Lochren every day, no matter how yucky.
Finish 3 projects that are in progress (baby quilt, two bug paintings) and start several more -and determine to finish them (another quilt, roman shades, more bug paintings).
As much yard work as the weather will allow
Find a source of good, organic soil/compost to renew the crappy beds
    Build some furniture

see…? It’ll be a miracle if I get half that done!
