On the rebound.

Remember that woman who agreed to hire me to come and work at her perennial farm? Back in the third week of March? Oh, that’s funny because my own memory of her is beginning to fade, too, since she never called me back. I guess she doesn’t want me working for her.

I’m going to shrug this rejection off because honestly, although I had put a positive spin on things and looked forward to working with plants and learning some new stuff, I really wasn’t happily anticipating having to work two jobs again. We are fortunate because Graham runs a summer business that helps us out a lot every year, and it’s about to get under way. In the meantime, I’ll focus on my writing for Suite101.com, alongside my full-time editor gig. I’ll go back to the restaurant in the fall when it re-opens.

Speaking of the restaurant, the demolition has been complete for a couple of weeks, now. The re-build hasn’t begun.  Yet.

Sounds like it worked itself out in the end, even when you didn’t hear back about the job.
