My husband and I will celebrate our second wedding anniversary this July. For a time, Graham and I believed we would remain a child-free couple, but over the last year or so our ideas about parenting and family have evolved, and we feel like we’re ready to create a little family of our own.
I don’t believe that having children is for everyone. I also know in my heart that this is a decision we have not made lightly. We’ve thought about the financial aspects, whether we have the space, the time, the ability, etcetera…the one thing we are absolutely certain of is the fact that we have enough love. More than enough. I am 100% certain that Graham will make a wonderful father. He’s shown me his loyalty, his willingness to work hard, to make and achieve goals, to prioritize things in our life appropriately, and his amazing capacity to love another person (me) with all of his being.
There are two little, bright orange pills left in the pack on my bathroom counter.
