We don’t have one of those “honey do lists” here at our house. Oh no, the list exists merely in our heads, and it never, ever ends. Graham and I had started a few little projects started around the house, a few things we’ve purchased that needed installation, hanging, what have you, and last night we got around to taking care of a few of them.
Graham hung a bar and shelf in my laundry room closet which makes me extremely happy…more happy than I ever thought a bar and shelf could ever make me.
Then he installed the new shower head in our main bathroom.
Then we hung my chalkboard in my home office. I’ve had this chalkboard since I got it for Christmas when I was about ten or eleven years old. It probably won’t shock you to read that I was once an avid player of “school” in our basement. I had an imaginary class and a desk and of course, a chalkboard with coloured chalk for it. The chalkboard has been hanging in the basement at my dad’s house for awhile and on Thanksgiving weekend I brought it home. I thought I could use it to list work-related tasks in my office.
This morning I came into the office, sat down to read my e-mail and organize my desk before I started my daily work, and as I turned around to head downstairs to make coffee, I saw this on the wall.

What a great way to start the day.

Awww! We don’t do honey do’s either, but Josh keeps a running one for himself in his Blackberry. He’s on vacation this week and yesterday he cleaned and worked on my car and today he is tackling the garage. Big fun! LOL.

you guys are so cute. like ridiculously cute. now i totally want a chalkboard that the husband can leave me little notes on!
Geebus, that’s cute!
And Bossy played school too – a pastime her daughter inherited; her dolls all propped up around a low table with their little workbooks in front of them, Bossy’s daughter scritch-scritch-scratching on the blackboard and dotting heavy ‘i’s with blunted chalk.
Good times.
