Vegas, baby.

November 7, 2008
By Amy

Yesterday we received a wedding invitation.  The wedding is In Vegas.  At the Bellagio.  This February.

Now, Graham and I have never flown anywhere on a trip together.

We work our collective butts off.

Now, where did I put my passport?

Las Vegas scares me– I’ve never been there, but it’s so BUSY and FLASHY…plus people gamble their life savings and all that stuff. But then again, it could be cool. BAHAHAHAHA

I’ve been once, and they won’t let me back because I didn’t gamble. Not one nickle, dime or dollar. It is worth seeing once, though.

That totally sounds like fun! I’ve never been and we’re not likely to go (complicated story) but it would be a great adventure as a couple. And for a wedding? Then you’re not going on a pretext of gambling or anticipated bad behaviour, hurrah!

I live in Las Vegas and have not gambled a single penny since I lived here. Sure, I had visited several times before and had dropped a few coin… but once I became a resident here, no gambling! If you make the trip, I hope you enjoy it… I definitely think that everyone should get the chance to experience the “flashiness” that is The Strip. That’s a whole different world from the city I live in day-to-day! :-)

You are going to have SO! MUCH! FUN! We were just there in September for our first anniversary. We barely gambled at all. I played a little video poker and Sports Fan played craps for an hour or two, but we spent the days and nights wandering around all the casinos, going to great restaurants, seeing a few shows, people watching and drinking. It was just relaxing to be away from work/home and have no agenda. I have restaurant recommendations on my blog if you want to check it out!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh do you need a personal assistant? I’ve always wanted to go to Vegas. That is going to be a perfect PERFECT mid winter pick me up.

Oh wow, the Bellagio! Very cool! I’ve never been to Vegas, only in my mind’s eye when I watch CSI episodes (I like the opening scene they always have, flying over the top of Vegas at night).
