Good Christmas karma.

On the weekend Graham and found some time to pop out to the local Rotary Club Christmas tree lot to pick out a tree for our living room.  Last year we didn’t bother with a real tree, mostly because we couldn’t justify spending the forty dollars on the tree, but also because it was a stressful time and I thought that setting up the small, artificial tree I had purchased for my university dorm room would be a good way to eliminate some of the annual holiday financial stress.

We picked out a Blue Spruce this year, and although there was much swearing and grunting in the initial act of erecting the tree (at one point I believe I heard Graham refer to the tree as “you fucking fucknut”), we eventually picked up a new stand and now it’s occupying the corner of our living room in all of its stately, sprucey glory.

The snow has been falling gently outside almost since the tree went up, which I consider excellent Christmas karma.
