Today I’m getting on an airplane with three of my favourite people and heading to Nashville, Tennessee for Blissdom ’09. Graham keeps telling people that he “gave me permission” to go on this trip. I just shrug and laugh…what can I say? It makes him happy, even if the truth is slightly different (wink).
In anticipation of meeting some lovely new people who will not have heard of this website before, I thought I’d post a few links to help any new visitors get the lay of the land.
- I’ve openly mocked Martha Stewart here on this site…I have a real love/hate relationship with her magazine. So pretty. So expensive. So addictive.
- I once considered myself child-free but over the last year or so the idea of becoming a mother has become more and more appealing. Babies have been on my brain.
- Before I met my husband I shared a terrific apartment in an old house in Toronto. I took a virtual tour through that apartment last spring, comparing my single city life to the suburban life I live now.
- I also write occasionally at a cooking site called For the Love of Leftovers, and when it’s gardening season here in Southern Ontario, I write about organic gardening in Durham Region at Playing in the Dirt. I have a review site, too, which you can visit at Assertagirl Reviews.

@UrbanDaddy, it’s a writer’s conference in Nashville. Seems to be mostly women here, although there are a few token men attending, too. You can probably start thinking about doing your seedlings soon. You should check out the forums at You Grow Girl. There’s a seed starting chart somewhere there on the site, too.
