How to cheer up your wife.

Graham thought I needed cheering up over the weekend.  Rather than bringing me flowers or yummy treats, he let me do this:

See that smile on my face?  Oh, yeah.  Nothing cheers me up more than knocking down a wall.  Later I got to kick out the drywall on the other side of that wall.  Highly therapeutic.

And now this wall, which formerly divided our kitchen from the dining room…

…is, well…GONE.

Yay!

That would be a cool gift! Even better, I’m sure, is a whole new look to your living area!

Wow! What a difference that makes! The room looks so big now. Great job!

  3. Nice! It’s awesome that you and your husband are so handy, too! I can’t wait to see the “after” pictures!

I absolutely LOVE demolition. Better than any therapy money can buy. Now, I just need to master the construction part.

  5. I tried that once…and my husband explained what the phrase “load bearing wall” meant…and I don’t ever get to play with the cool tools anymore. *sobs*

  6. Bowls, bowls, I’m totally coveting your bowls.

And yes, construction destruction is very therapeutic.

I’m with you – demo is so satisying. Of course, then you have to put it back together!
