I’m really at a loss for words to express my sorrow at reading the story of Madeline Spohr, who died on April 7. I didn’t know Heather or Mike, Maddie’s mom and dad. I admit that I was not a regular reader of Heather’s blog (The Spohrs are Multiplying), either. This morning it is crystal clear that this community is mourning the loss of such a sweet little girl whose life ended entirely too soon. I didn’t know Maddie’s parents either, but I did know her story and am reeling from this news.
Kids just shouldn’t die. We all feel it when a light that bright goes out of the world.
