Picture this: 15 very visibly pregnant women dressed in cocktail dresses traipse through the lobby of the Sheraton together to board a bus. A few minutes later, they arrive at a store called The Land of Nod where they watch demonstrations of cool baby gear and see displays of lovely baby furniture. At the end of the presentation they’re given a bag of gifts, including…GET THIS…a Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair. I was one of those very fortunate moms-to-be!
Afterward, we were treated to a very yummy tapas dinner (I’m still full!) and it was so nice to get to know some new bloggy ladies. A few of them are even expecting their babies the same week we are. This was such a nice way to mark 23-weeks, especially since the What to Expect weekly e-mail is now telling me to expect a lot of weight gain over the next month.
And so ends a very busy but memorable day here in Chicago.
