On demand.

Last night:

Went to bed at 11:00.

Nate up at 11:30.

Nate up at 1:20.

Nate up at 3:20.

Nate up at 5:30.

Nate up at 7:15.

Each time he gets up to feed I’m awake about 40 minutes to change his diaper and feed him. You do the math (my brain is way to fuzzy to calculate the few hours of sleep I managed).

I love this little guy to death, but please tell me this is the three-week growth spurt I’ve read about and there’s an end to this in sight…

    Good luck, Mama.

  2. Yup. It will stop. In a few months.
    ;)

    It will stop. I promise.

Can you take him to bed with you and nurse him laying down? I found that helped a lot.

Although, I have to admit, I am jealous of the 40 minutes you're up – the Poptart would be up for two hours (1.5 of that at least would be eating).

This much nursing should boost your milk supply and once you start making more milk, hopefully he'll sleep a little longer! Good Luck!

Make it to 6 weeks and you will notice a huge difference. 8 weeks will be amazing. Hang in there mama!

    I will be a zombie by then…

Nicole I took your advice and managed to nurse lying down earlier today while we camped out in bed together.

I'm pretty sure it's a growth spurt. When I told my mom what was going on she said she thought that's what it was, too. Thanks for your good wishes!

  9. Amy says:

Thanks, Kacie, that's going to come soon, so I feel much more hopeful now!

I have an interior design site and I am interested in purchasing a link on your website. Your site looks great and I would love to be part of your blogroll. Or, if you prefer we could exchange links.

If this is possible, could you let me know how much you would charge for a basic text link. My site is located at http://www.genuinestyle.net.

Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing back from you.

:) I remember those days, my doctor told me that sometimes newborns get insecure, which is why they wake up often. Who knows though hehe!
