It’s been baby, baby, baby around here since Nate was born, and for the first few months of Nate’s life, Farley spent most of his days and nights in our basement. We started calling the basement “Farley’s Lair.” Well, it seems that the cats have forgiven us for bringing a baby home. Either that, or they are just happy it is spring. They’ve emerged from the basement.
When the people at Matchstick asked me if Farley and Rudy would like to try out Purina Maxx Scoop Small Spaces cat litter, I kind of laughed. Then they said that to sweeten the deal, they’d throw in some Purina Friskies Party Mix kitty treats, and I thought, hey, these cats have put up with a lot, they deserve it!
We picked up one of each kind of the Purina Maxx Scoop cat litter.
We set up our new Cozy Corner litter box for the boys to try out, and Graham poured in the Purina Maxx Scoop Small Spaces litter. It has little green crystals in it and smells pretty good. We really liked the Cozy Corner litter box. Since our house isn’t that big, it’s really convenient to have a litter box that will fit into the corner, and is a nice colour that blends in with our decor. If you could see their old litter box (think giant blue Rubbermaid container with a hole cut in the side), you’d see what I mean.
We didn’t even have to call Rudy and Farley…the nosy boys came running to check it out for themselves.
Rudy wasted no time at all. Isn’t that always the case with a clean pan of cat litter? I told him not to forget to wipe his feet on the way out.
We rewarded them both with some Purina Friskies Party Mix.
They especially liked the Seaside Crunch flavour.
I just hope Farley doesn’t think this means we’ll be renovating his lair anytime soon.

So cute! I love the pictures with the commentary. Nothing like happy cats, huh?
Thanks, Ainsley!
ADORABLE!!! And I seriously WANT that cat box! Although, we keep ours in the laundry room and there isn't a free corner. Unless we get rid of the strange clutter shelfing unit…hmmm….
Yes, we've moved it into our utility room now, but it's still much more out of the way than it was, now that it fits into the corner.
looks like you know how to bring the boys to the yard…
I would! Except they stay inside, pretty much.
These days your blog is just one big advertisement. The ads all over the page, and now a post dedicated to advertising products. Annoying.
The ads have always been there, Anna, although the layout of the site has changed recently. As for the product review, you're more than welcome to skip posts of that nature.
that stuff is the only thing my cat will crap on!~
Haha! I never heard of a cat that was finicky about what kind of litter it pooped on!
