About Me
My name is Amy and I’m a 32-year-old wife and work-at-home editor, which means I spend most of my days working in my pajamas. I live with my very handy and handsome husband Graham and our cats Farley and Rudy in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. Graham and I are the proud parents of our son, Nathan, who was born in November, 2009.
I’ve been blogging on various websites since about 2000, where I first wrote on a multi-authored site called Rabid Monkey (now defunct). I write about organic gardening at Playing in the Dirt and about cooking at For the Love of Leftovers. My writing has appeared on such sites as BlogHers Act Canada, You Grow Girl, The Daily Grommet and most recently, Aiming Low.
I’ve attended BlogHer ‘07, BlogHer ‘08, BlogHer ‘09, Blissdom ‘09 and will be attending BlogHer ‘10 in New York City.

I think it is supposed to be uncool to leave comments on the “about page,” but I just have to this one time.
I won the typing award in high school, too! I had won all kinds of cool awards that day, including for English and drama (most likely to be famous! hello? where is my movie contract?)… and then they had to go and geek me out with the typing award.
They gave me a little charm with a typewriter on it. Sigh.
The upside is that this comment only took me 7 seconds to type.
